This research investigates whether generative AI, acting as a virtual future generation grounded in scientific evidence, can overcome the scalability limits of future design, a method that uses role-play to help people adopt long-term, future-oriented perspectives in environmental decision-making. By having AI engage with participants through retrieval-augmented generation and emotionally resonant feedback, the project uses argument mining to measure how environmental ethics shift before and after AI intervention. Beyond the technical implementation, the study examines the ethical implications of AI intervening in human judgment, positioning AI as a tool that may augment rather than replace human thought.
