To improve the flatness of vibration of a circular radiating plate for applications in near-field acoustic levitation (NFAL) and compact ultrasonic emitters, this study investigated the excitation positions based on the displacement distribution of the B(1,0) flexural mode. Eigenfrequency and frequency response analyses were performed using COMSOL Multiphysics 6.4 for an aluminum circular plate operating at 28 kHz. Two excitation methods were compared: excitation at the center only, and simultaneous excitation at the center and near the nodal circle of the B(1,0) mode. The results showed that simultaneous excitation produced a nearly uniform vibration distribution, indicating that the radiating plate can achieve near-piston-like vibration.
