In the agricultural sector, research is underway on labor-saving and automation of farm work using drones and robots. In this research, we are developing a system that acquires point cloud data of farm fields, recreates them in a virtual space, generates flight paths and performs simulations, and applies the results to the control of actual drones. Against this research background, we aim to automate the entire process—from acquiring point cloud data of farm fields to 3D modeling, flight path generation and operation verification in a virtual space, and the operation of actual drones—as a single, integrated workflow. However, in the past, tasks such as point cloud reduction, noise removal, and meshing had to be performed manually, making the 3D modeling process a challenge for the automation of the system as a whole. Therefore, in this research, we aim to automate the conversion process from point cloud data to 3D models by using AI agents to assist in the creation of point cloud conversion programs.
