Quantum networks that distribute entanglement between remote quantum memories are essential for next-generation applications such as distributed quantum computing and quantum key distribution. Recent advances in quantum hardware and error-mitigation technologies have shifted research attention from physical-link demonstrations toward higher-layer issues, including transport protocols that satisfy application-level requirements. However, most existing studies focus on physical-link resource efficiency, including entanglement-generation success probability, fidelity, and retention or discard policies. Stable real-time delivery under continuous application consumption and the dynamic control required to achieve it remain insufficiently investigated.
