In recent years, worker burnout caused by excessive job demands has become a serious issue in places like manufacturing and construction sites. Traditionally, burnout has been assessed through retrospective subjective surveys, and there hasn’t yet been a method to detect early warning signs in real time from objective physiological indicators during work, before the condition worsens. In this study, we designed an experiment using poker to simulate the accumulation of mental stress from repeated high-risk decision-making. By integrating and analyzing non-invasively measurable central nervous system activity, autonomic nervous system activity, and endocrine markers, we aim to visualize the process of allostatic load on the body and establish a method to quantitatively identify early signs of burnout.
