[B-1B-10]Proposal of a Three-Directional Radiation Hybrid Array Structure Using 60GHz-Band Dipole and Dual-Polarized Patch Antennas

Since millimeter-wave communications have high propagation loss, phased array antennas capable of achieving high gain and multi-directional beam steering are essential. To realize wide spatial coverage, this paper proposes a three-directional radiation hybrid array structure that combines 60 GHz-band dipole and dual-polarized patch antennas. The proposed model consists of one patch sub-array and two dipole sub-arrays, and its beamforming regions were evaluated assuming the use of 3-bit phase shifters. The results confirmed that each sub-array successfully forms a beam toward its target area, substantially satisfying the required coverage with a gain of 10 dBi or higher, thereby demonstrating the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed method.
