During lightning surge testing, resonance in the line filter may result in excessive voltages, leading to failure of circuit components. In this study, we focused on the varistor and the common-mode choke coil and developed a model of the line-filter resonance phenomenon.
To validate the model, an experimental setup was constructed, and a circuit analysis model was developed based on this setup. The nonlinear characteristics of the varistor and the common-mode choke coil were incorporated into the model. Comparison between the measured and calculated results showed good agreement, confirming that the proposed model provides sufficient analytical accuracy. Future work will focus on detailed analysis of the resonance phenomenon.
