In a distributed antenna system (DAS) using analog radio over fiber (A-RoF), MIMO transmission is expected to increase capacity; however, the system complexity grows with the number of layers. Although [1] achieves single-wavelength multiplexed transmission using optical TDM, it requires a large number of optical components such as optical modulators and EDFAs. In this paper, we propose a MIMO transmission scheme that employs RF-switch-based time-division multiplexing, enabling a configuration with only a single optical modulator and photodetector, and evaluate the impact of timing jitter between the transmit and receive switches on EVM.
