Recently, with the widespread adoption of IoT technology, the volume of sensing data traffic has increased exponentially. Continuous streaming of raw data over conventional IP networks leads to bandwidth exhaustion. Furthermore, while existing specialized systems are sufficient for routine monitoring, it is difficult to flexibly and efficiently aggregate data from siloed systems to address ad hoc requirements, such as investigating the causes of unknown, complex anomalies. To address this challenge, a new paradigm called Semantic Communications (SemCom) that focuses on extracting only semantic information before data transmission is gaining attention. In this paper, we propose an architecture based on Information-Centric Networks (ICN), in which the network itself interprets the context of the data and autonomously pulls in the necessary data, and we verify the effectiveness of SemCom under Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) constraints.
