This work evaluates transmitted-reference signaling for 2.4-GHz wake-up receivers under Wi-Fi OFDM interference. Unlike prior wake-up receiver architectures, transmitted-reference signaling aims to improve interference tolerance through the signaling scheme itself. An ideal receiver model in Simulink is used to compare two-tone and three-tone transmitted-reference signals under different signal-to-interferer ratio (SIR) conditions. The output SNR after down-conversion is evaluated using a 7-dB SNR requirement as the recovery criterion for BPSK demodulation. Simulation results show that the three-tone scheme achieves a higher output SNR than the two-tone scheme and satisfies the recovery criterion at SIR = −10 dB.
