Resonant tunneling diodes (RTDs) are compact signal sources for terahertz (THz) sensing and communication systems. This study demonstrates IQ demodulation using two mutually injection-locked RTD THz transceivers. The RTDs operate as transceivers through self-mixing detection, while mutual injection locking enables control of their relative phase. By using this phase-controlled RTD architecture, in-phase and quadrature signal components are obtained, showing its potential for compact THz sensing and communication systems.
