Radiative cooling materials passively lower their own temperature by utilizing thermal radiation. For these materials, it is crucial to highly reflect sunlight in the 0.3–2.5 μm wavelength range and to concentrate radiation within the 8–13 μm wavelength range, which exhibits high atmospheric transparency. The authors have previously proposed an analysis method for reflection characteristics using the Auxiliary Differential Equation-FDTD (ADE-FDTD) method, but its radiation characteristics have not yet been investigated. In this report, we develop a thermal radiation analysis method based on the ADE-FDTD method utilizing the Fluctuation-Dissipation Theorem (FDT) and verify its accuracy.
