1.VISA application support policy
- Each applicant should take responsibility for his or her own Visa application.
To confirm the procedures of your Visa application, contact the Embassy or Consulate-General Office of Japan. - The SURF2026 Organizing Committees can only assist you by providing with necessary support documents. Our support services are only for a single-entry short-term stay Visa.
- Applicants eligible for our support documents are limited in principle to the persons who meet the following conditions.
- Authors and co-authors of a SURF2026 paper
- Those who have registered and paid their registration fees
- Those whose accommodation in Japan and flights to and from Japan have been clarified
- Those whose itinerary in Japan including the conference period (11/9-11) is up to 10days
- Among necessary support documents, Letter of Guarantee can be issued by the Committee, only if each of the below conditions are met.
- A certificate issued by the applicant's organization that proves his or her identity
- A document or information that can objectively confirm the existence of the applicant's organization
(The source of information should come from a third party rather than the organization itself. For example, we can accept that if there is an article of the organization’s membership to an international community, or there is that of the organization’s participation in an international conference reportedly. We cannot accept the organization’s self-publication or brochure.)
