VISA application policy
1. Support policy
- Each applicant should take responsibility for his or her own application. The SURF2026 Organizing Committees can assist the person by providing with support papers.
- To confirm the procedures of your VISA application, contact the Embassy, Consulate-General, or Consular Office of Japan that have jurisdiction over the country/region where you reside.
- The VISA issued is a single-entry.
- Our support papers are limited to authors of a SURF2026 paper and those associated with the paper, who have paid their registration fees.
- Intended length of stay in Japan is four weeks including the week of the SURF2026. For longer visitors for sightseeing and others, we cannot be a guarantor.
2. Remarks
- The papers to be issued by the Organizing Committee will reach to the applicant via email. Since their eligibility period is just three months, upon arrival be sure to apply for them at the jurisdiction office of Japan immediately.
- Please contact us in case original documents are needed. We will send them by mail. However, since time-consuming work can be expected for further communications, please let us know promptly.
- In case false information or disinformation is found in the application process, be reminded that the service will be terminated.
