Liposomes are generally used as a model system for cell membranes and as carriers for drug delivery systems. Regulation of liposome assembly is difficult to achieve. The spatiotemporal control of regulation of the aggregation and dispersal of liposomes has not been possible till now. In this study, we proposed a regulation method for liposome aggregation using a reversible DNA photo-cross-linker CNVK. After immobilizing DNA on the surface of liposomes, ODN containing CNVK was added, and the aggregation of liposomes is achieved via photoirradiation.
