Single-cell sequencing has been extensively applied to understand genetic/phenotypic heterogeneity of cells. However, as the measurement requires cell lysis, single-cell sequencing data is generally disconnected from other spatiotemporal information (e.g. cell morphology or histories of cell-cell interactions). Aiming to overcome this problem, we present microparticle-based cell identifiers to link multimodal information of single cells.
