In the present study, linear friction welding (LFW) of aged Haynes 282 Ni superalloy is conducted. The applied pressure is regulated to suppress the gamma prime dissolution-induced softening in the thermo-mechanical affected zone. (TMAZ) The 100% joint efficiency is achieved with the narrowest softened TMAZ.
