Cs2AgBiBr6 films were deposited by spin coating under ambient conditions (relative humidity: 30–50%) using four solvent systems: pure DMSO, pure DMF, DMSO: DMF (1:1 v/v), and DMSO: GBL (1:1 v/v). Pyridine, imidazole, and carbohydrazide were used as additives. Film quality was evaluated by ultraviolet–visible absorption and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The DMSO: DMF mixture gave the most uniform films and the highest PL intensity (Fig. 1), outperforming single-solvent and DMSO: GBL conditions. Among the additives, pyridine exhibited the most well-defined band-edge absorption features. This can be attributed to the coordination of its nitrogen atom with Bi3+ ions, which suppresses the formation of trap states. These results demonstrate that the combination of DMSO: DMF solvent, nitrogen-donor additives is an effective strategy for improving the film quality and optical properties of Cs2AgBiBr6 films fabricated under ambient conditions.
