[3110]資源工学教育におけるUAVを用いた採石場モニタリングの導入

Abstract(English・within 300 words)In recent years, quarry and aggregate resource industries have faced increasing demands for safety management, efficient site monitoring, environmental consideration, and digital transformation. UAV photogrammetry, UAV LiDAR, point cloud processing, and GIS are effective tools for acquiring and visualizing three-dimensional information on quarry sites, including residual slopes, benches, haul roads, and stockpiles. However, in engineering education, students often study surveying, GIS, and resource management as separate subjects, and opportunities to experience the complete workflow from field observation to data acquisition, analysis, and engineering interpretation remain limited. This presentation proposes a practical framework for introducing UAV-based quarry monitoring into resource engineering education as a digital fieldwork module. The framework consists of quarry field observation, UAV flight planning, data acquisition, point cloud and DEM generation, GIS visualization, cross-section analysis, volume estimation, and discussion on smart quarry management. Through this workflow, students can understand how spatial data are collected, processed, and applied to practical quarry management.The proposed framework is expected to support the development of three-dimensional spatial thinking, digital surveying skills, field safety awareness, and data-based decision-making abilities. Although further classroom implementation and educational evaluation are required, UAV-based quarry monitoring has strong potential as a practical learning approach that connects field-based resource engineering with digital transformation.
