[SS03-04]Robust Perfect Adaptation to Subspaces in Biochemical Systems

We will present an extension of robust perfect adaptation (RPA) theory in biochemical networks, introducing "manifold RPA," where system outputs robustly converge to subspaces of non-zero dimension. We identify a sufficient topological condition for identifying when manifold RPA emerges in deterministic chemical reaction systems. We've established how specific network structures correspond to manifold RPA and identified the integral feedback controllers that realize this property. Through biological examples, we'll illustrate how this topological perspective advances our understanding of regulatory mechanisms in natural systems, with potential implications for synthetic biology design.
