A new burnup calculation code system, SWAT-X, in which the latest calculation methods and nuclear data are available, is under development as a successor of SWAT4.0. As a first step, we developed a burnup calculation system using the one-point reactor burnup calculation code CRAMO and the continuous-energy Monte Carlo code MVP. This development is equivalent to updating the burnup calculation method from the Matrix Exponential Method in ORIGEN2 to the Chebyshev Rational Approximation Method (CRAM). Burnup calculations were performed for BWR and PWR fuel assembly systems, and it was confirmed that the effective multiplication factor and fuel nuclide compositions agreed well with the results of SWAT4.0.
