During operation of a nuclear power plant, biological shielding is irradiated with neutron and activated, and it is required to estimate its residual radioactivity for deciding waste management option. At the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, it is difficult to investigate the reactor building inside and to sample for analysis, thus computational analysis is effective and indispensable. Technical issues and approach for estimating the radioactivity of the activated concrete will be presented.
