The demand for isotope ratio control materials enriched with lithium-6 or lithium-7 is increasing. In order to develop an isotope separation method with low environmental impact and applicable to mass production, the applicability of a simulated moving bed process was evaluated. The diameter and total length of the adsorption column required to produce 100 kg of 90 % enriched lithium-6 per year were estimated to be 50 cm and 400 m, respectively.
