The aim of the study was to establish high-temperature measurement techniques and to obtain reliable data for UO2 tests. High-temperature heating tests were carried out using a tungsten plate with a slit. Stable heating was confirmed by analyzing the temperature distribution and thermal stresses using the finite element method. For temperature measurement, a combination of thermocouples and radiation thermometers were used to improve the accuracy of the measurements. A Ti oxygen getter was also used for oxygen partial pressure control. By conducting the experiments under low oxygen partial pressure, the oxidation of the Zr sample was suppressed and the sample was not oxidized at high temperatures, enabling stable measurements.
