If the gas entrainment (GE) is occurred in a sodium-cooled fast reactor, the argon cover gas is caught in the coolant, there is concern that the argon gas bubbles may cause a disturbance of reactivity. In the case of a tank-type reactor, it is important to establish a sufficient design evaluation method for the GE phenomenon from the vortex dimple generated in a wide free liquid surface. For this reason, we are conducting experiments to obtain GE data from vortices moving in free interfaces using basic test equipment and analyze them. In this study, we measure the number of GEs generated under the condition that the shape of the outlet of the test equipment is changed, and report the results of the numerical analysis of the system and the effect of the exit shape on the phenomena.
