We conducted an ongoing questionnaire survey focusing on the state of reconstruction in Fukushima Prefecture and awareness, interest, and understanding of the health effects of radiation. This study shows the difference in awareness between Tokyo and Fukushima residents regarding the health effects of radiation on the next generation. The results of the survey also show interest in the decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. In addition, the status of radiation education and understanding of natural radioactivity will be discussed.
