XAFS analysis was performed on heat-treated samples under various conditions using zirconium molybdate as the starting material, and knowledge was gained about the mechanism by which calcium molybdate is produced, its distribution state such as aggregation, the effect of the presence or absence of sodium, etc. It was found that whether sodium is inside or outside the raw glass causes a large difference in the ease with which molybdate aggregates.
