[2L12]Development of filling stabilization technology and fall prevention technology for the fuel debris retrieval at Fukushima Daiichi NPS

Safe and efficient decommissioning of the core and bottom of the reactor is one of important issues for the fuel debris retrieval at Fukushima Daiichi NPS.As a part of measures to accomplish the issue, Tousou Mirai Technology Co. Ltd. is currently working on the development of stabilizing the fuel debris in the reactor for safe and efficient cutting and removal of the fuel debris. In addition, we are also working on the development of fallout countermeasures from the viewpoint of preventing re-criticality and dust dispersion due to the possibility of structures falling to the bottom of the pedestal during fuel debris retrieval work in the reactor.This document describes the progress and future plans for each of the above developments.
