[2O20]Quantification of plastic strain by EBSD(3) Quantification of local misorientation independent of step size using equidistant local misorientation

EBSD technique has been applied to predict plastic strain induced in material. It hasn been pointed out that the local misorientation obtained by the EBSD measurement depends on the spacing of the measurement points, which is referred to as the step size. Therefore, the comparison of the local misorientation distribution has to be made for the local misorientation obtained with the same step size. In this study, the equidistant local misorientation was proposed to correct the influence of the step size. It was shown that the local misorientation of arbitrary step size could be obtained by using the equidistant local misorientation.
