This study is basic research to construct a model to simulate the eutectic melting behavior of control rod materials in a core disruptive accident of a sodium-cooled fast reactor. The solidification process of SUS316L containing 30mass%B4C was investigated by combining in-situ observation by the electromagnetic levitation method and microstructural observation by the rapid cooling method.
