A half scale test specimen modeling after 3D seismic isolation system was fabricated in which thick laminated rubber and disc spring units are arranged in series, and static loading tests with simultaneous loading in horizontal and vertical directions were conducted. In the loading tests, repeated loading in vertical direction including both vertical cyclic loading and offset shear strain up to approximately twice the design range was applied to the specimen to investigate the mechanical characteristics and movement of this system. From the test results, it is confirmed that the developed system maintained the load-displacement relationship as in previous report and maintained smooth movement in both horizontal and vertical directions. Therefore, this system ensures the seismic isolation performance as designed.
