MHI has designed an Integrated Small Reactor with a natural circulation system. To accurately evaluate the void fraction distribution in the reactor, it is necessary to measure it in high-temperature and high-pressure two-phase flow, where the generation of fine bubbles is expected. In this study, we tried to develop an electrode probe sensor to detect these bubbles in the flow. The durability test confirmed its applicability in such environments. Bubble detection test with fine bubbles was carried out in air-water system with surfactant at room temperature.
