In the construction of nuclear power plants, there are concerns about increasing of construction costs due to the pursuit of high safety. Plant manufacturers are required to propose a safe and economical design. To achieve these goals, we have developed an automatic layout design system that optimizes the equipment and piping layout and lowers the quantity of buildings and piping. In this system, design rules are assigned based on the equipment type and et. al. The equipment is installed in the building, considering the piping connections. Then the equipment is moved taking into consideration the maintenance space and et. al. After installing the equipment, piping routes are automatically designed, and the validity of the equipment layout is confirmed.
