Students from the Faculty of Education, Shimane University, located near a nuclear power plant, developed a five-hour energy and environmental education lesson plan for the "Use of Energy Resources" unit in the third-year middle school science curriculum, using STEAM education focused on nuclear power plants. A valid lesson plan was developed that included at least one element from each of the five areas: mathematics, technology, engineering, arts, and science.
