To ensure the safe and steady decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (FDNPS), continued fundamental research and long-term human resource development are essential.
Under the guidance of MEXT, JAEA established CLADS in 2015 to lead R&D and training efforts. Since the opening of the International Collaborative Research Building in 2018, CLADS has strengthened partnerships with domestic and international institutions.
This presentation introduces key initiatives, including MEXT-funded research training programs, decommissioning-focused workshops for young professionals, and international collaboration for knowledge transfer and capacity building.
