NARREC aims to train personnel to work on remote controlled robots, which are essential for decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and is implementing measures to learn about the nuclear power field and the development of remote-controlled robots. The Decommissioning Creative Robocon is held every year and attracts many participants from technical colleges across the country, with each team competing using robots they have created. The robot operation training program, which is open to all, is a program mainly aimed at students, and allows them to experience operating three types of robots. We will continue our human resource development efforts while updating the content in line with advances in remote controlled robot technology.
