[1J_PL01]Status of a 3 GeV synchrotron light source NanoTerasu

*Nobuyuki Nishimori1 (1. QST)
Since April of 2024, NanoTerasu, a cutting-edge 3 GeV synchrotron radiation (SR) facility, has been operational for the purpose of accommodating user experimentation. It is one of the world's leading large-scale SR facilities, capable of observing the nanoscale world. Dr. Nobuyuki Nishimori of the Department of Advanced Synchrotron Radiation R&D at QST, will deliver a presentation on the current status of NanoTerasu. The integration of artificial intelligence into the operation of the particle accelerator at SACLA/SPring-8 represents a significant advancement in the field. Dr. Eito Iwai of the Accelerator Division of JASRI will deliver a presentation on the implementation of machine-learning-based beam optimization to maximize the spectral brightness of the X-ray free-electron laser at SACLA. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience state-of-the-art particle accelerator technologies through the two talks.
