The Static Experiment Critical Facility (STACY) has been refurbished, modifying its original core using solution fuel with a new one consisting of rod-shaped fuels and light water moderator. The aim is to conduct criticality safety research related to fuel debris. Following initial criticality in April 2024, the STACY is expected to be continuously utilized as a platform for experimental research and development with the aim of acquiring data for core design and criticality evaluation, as a base facility for human resource development. Some of the results obtained thus far have already been presented and have provided new insights. This session will showcase the latest examples of these initiatives and explore future prospects.
