A chemical analysis was conducted on fuel debris sample obtained from the first trial retrieval inside the pedestal of Unit 2 of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, which was received in the Nuclear Science Research Institute, JAEA. In this presentation, we report on the analysis of isotopic composition and content of uranium, plutonium, gadolinium, and neodymium in fuel debris dissolved solution obtained by alkaline fusion treatment. Each element was isolated using an anion exchange resin, and the isotopic composition was analyzed by thermal ionization mass spectrometer. The content of each element was also analyzed using isotope dilution mass spectrometry.
