We made MAAP5 analysis system for the TMI-2 core and evaluated cladding temperature, core mass distribution, and hydrogen generation amount at the accident. The computed hydrogen generation amount was consistent with the TMI-2 measured value (300 kg) at the time of RCP restart (174 min). The measured hydrogen generation amount at 194 min increased to 460 kg, but the computed value was constant after RCP restart. Therefore, we considered the factors affecting the hydrogen generation amount, and found that the blockage condition of the steam flow had mainly effect. The computed hydrogen generation amount at 194 min was 400 kg when the steam flow was not blocked at the damaged core. This computed amount was close to the measured value.
