The cesium adsorption systems are employed to remove 137Cs and other radionuclides from contaminated water generated during the cooling of damaged nuclear fuel. This study evaluates the radionuclide inventory of spent KURION and SARRY zeolite-based adsorbents for their treatment and disposal. High-activity samples were pretreated in a hot cell, followed by radiochemical analysis. The inventory and distribution characteristics of major radionuclides were determined, providing fundamental data for the safe and rational management of spent adsorbents.
