The titanate modified silica adsorbent for decommissioning radioactive wastewater is made by porous silica particles modifying titanate, so its mechanical strength and radiation resistance are high. We already confirmed adsorption performance for Pu and Am by batchwise tests. In this study, considering selectivity of elements on column that was considered actual conditions was conducted using Nd as simulated elements of alfa-emitted nuclides. The solution contained Nd, Sr and seawater components (Na, Mg, Ca, Cl) was supplied to the column packed with the adsorbent. From break through curve, it was revealed Nd was preferentially adsorbed after Mg and Ca were once break through. Therefore, the adsorbent adsorbed alfa-emitted nuclides preferentially to other cations such as alkaline-earth elements on column use.
