Focus group interviews with veteran and younger staff at the Fugen Nuclear Power Station (currently under decommissioning) revealed that a strong orientation toward contributing to society is maintained across generations. As veteran employees approach retirement, however, the findings indicate the need to establish dialogue-based knowledge transfer practices that leverage personnel with high generativity.
