JPHAST, a geochemical analysis code initiated in 2026, is an open-source platform envisioned for All-Japan development and utilization. It enables efficient three-dimensional simulations for a wide range of applications, including safety assessment of geological disposal. With the support of artificial intelligence, not only are computational efficiency, machine learning, and the management of multi-condition inputs and outputs enhanced, but the overall workflow—from code development and manual generation to benchmark validation and reporting—is also streamlined. JPHAST is expected to be applicable to a range of purposes, from academic research to repository design and performance assessment. This presentation outlines its background, objectives, technical features, and future vision, including efforts toward sustainable development and broader utilization.
