JPHAST, a geochemical analysis code initiated in 2026, is an open-source analysis platform envisioned for All-Japan development and utilization.JPHAST, a geochemical analysis code initiated in 2026, is an open-source analysis platform envisioned for All-Japan development and utilization. It enables efficient three-dimensional simulations for a wide range of applications, including safety assessment of geological disposal. With the support of artificial intelligence, not only are computational efficiency, machine learning, and the management of multi-condition inputs and outputs enhanced, but the overall workflow—from code development and manual generation to benchmark validation and reporting—is also streamlined. JPHAST is expected to be applicable to a broad range of purposes, from academic research to repository design and performance assessment. In this part, we present an overview of JPHAST as an AI-integrated system and outline its future prospects as an integrated analysis platform.
