The Asian Network for Quality (ANQ) congress will be held from 16 to 20 September 2024, hosted by the Japanese Society for Quality Control (JSQC). This is a very significant congress, and you are cordially invited to attend. In addition to around 200 research presentations, this will include the presentation of the Ishikawa Kano Award - gold and silver medals, the announcement of the Asian Recognition for Excellence for Quality Practice award-winning activities, and the presentation of the Asian Service Award. The ANQ's inaugural meeting was held in 2002 in Tokyo.
After the ANQ inaugural meeting in 2002 and the first congress in 2003, this year's congress is the 22nd congress of the Asian Network for Quality. The ANQ's activities are introduced at ANQ congress 2024 Yokohama, where excellent research results, activities, etc. are shared. This has helped to improve the competitiveness of the Asian region, with quality at its core.
The theme of the Congress is Prosperity through Quality - Returning to Origins, Leaping into the Future. Prosperity through Quality means aiming for prosperity through product and service quality, process quality and organization quality, which is exactly what ANQ is aiming for. This is why the theme of the 2009 congress, hosted by the JSQC, was Prosperity through Quality - the ANQ way. Fifteen years have passed since this congress and the ANQ has achieved many successes. In addition, the measures of realizing Prosperity through Quality have undergone various changes, including data science and AI, and the application of these has also produced significant results. We have chosen this title in order to organize the current situation, to return to the starting point once more with a purposeful mindset, and to make a leap forward into the future.
The beauty of the congress is that it brings together a diverse group of people from different backgrounds with different interests in quality, and allows them to exchange opinions and enhance each other's work, while respecting each other's individuality. This is a great opportunity to create new value through quality. By participating in the congress, you can present your achievements and experiences to the participants.
