<strong>Role of the microenvironment in muscle adaptation and therapeutic strategy for age-related sarcopenia</strong>

This symposium will feature the latest findings from researchers from domestic and international academic societies who are leading the pathophysiology of cardiac, skeletal and smooth muscle-related diseases. In particular, we aim to deepen our understanding of novel therapeutic target molecules for cardiovascular diseases such as age-related arteriosclerosis and heart failure, strategies for maintaining skeletal muscle homeostasis, treating skeletal muscle degeneration and preventing sarcopenia, and the relationship between abnormal smooth muscle proliferation and cellular senescence seen in pulmonary hypertension. We hope to deepen discussions on the possibilities and prospects of single-cell analysis of muscle cells, data science and new drug discovery modalities from the perspectives of morphology, physiology, pharmacology, regenerative engineering and preventive medicine.
