Greetings
Welcome to the 4th Meeting of FAPS
Program Director of FAPS 2025 Koichi Kashiwa (Department of The University of Tokyo Hospital) |
Dear colleagues,
On behalf of The Japanese Society of Extracorporeal Circulation Technology in Medicine (JaSECT), it is our great honor to hold The 4th Meeting of Federation of Asia Perfusion Society (FAPS) in conjunction with The 50th Annual Meeting of JaSECT, which will be held at Tokyo International Forum from October 12 to 13, 2025, Tokyo, Japan (FAPS2025 meeting will be held on October 12 only).
This meeting was held every two years for all specialists in the field of extracorporeal circulation, but after the last meeting in Shanghai in 2018, it became difficult to hold due to COVID-19 pandemic. Although it has been seven long years since the last meeting, COVID-19 pandemic has ended, and we are so happy to be able to resume the FAPS meeting in Tokyo as before.
Seven years have passed since the Shanghai Congress, and we believe that much knowledge in the field of extracorporeal circulation has been accumulated. We are planning to have presentations on the latest findings from each society, and we hope that you will enjoy the face-to-face discussions that were not possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. Let's think more about the future of extracorporeal field!
The poster for the FAPS2025 meeting depicts us taking the baton from Shanghai and the perfusionists who gathered for the FAPS meeting to deepen their exchange. We hope that you will come to Tokyo and deepen our exchange.
The venue, Tokyo International Forum is located near Tokyo station. Tokyo station is one of the biggest stations in Japan and due to its classic design, it is regarded as the famous photogenic spot in Tokyo. It is especially beautiful when illuminated at night. We hope you will enjoy not only the discussion in FAPS meeting but also the beautiful autumn scenery and autumn flavors of Japan.
We look forward to seeing you in Tokyo in October 2025.
Sincerely yours,
