Dr. Yoshiaki Fukushima's memorial session (Session 9, August 1)
We respectfully remember Dr. Yoshiaki Fukushima, whose pioneering work in polymer nanocomposites and material innovation at Toyota profoundly influenced the advancement of sustainable and high-performance automotive materials.
His deep insight, scientific rigor, and generous mentorship left a lasting impact on colleagues and collaborators alike. Dr. Fukushima’s contributions—particularly in the development of nylon-clay hybrids—will continue to inspire the materials science community for years to come.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the honor of working with him.
His legacy lives on in the science he shaped and the people he inspired.
Taking the opportunity of ICNM6, we are planning to organize a memorial session for Dr. Yoshiaki Fukushima. We cordially invite all the participants to join the session, and the session will be held at 13:30-14:30 on August 1.
