Climate change is diversifying disaster risks, with multiple hazards increasingly occurring in combination.
Conventional assumptions about disaster scenarios, preparedness, and response may no longer be sufficient.
Moreover, the impacts and challenges vary depending on natural and social conditions.
This panel brings together researchers from diverse regions to discuss how preparedness is being challenged and renewed under climate change, focusing on three questions:

• What assumptions about disaster scenarios, preparedness, and response are breaking down?
• What approaches and adaptations are being explored?
• What lessons can be shared across different regions and conditions?
