Meeting Cancellation Policy

When the ISIJ Meeting is cancelled due to a natural disaster such as a typhoon or an earthquake, an emergency such as an interruption of public transportation, or any other force majeure, we will correspond as follows.

 
1) Cancellation at least 2 days before the meeting.

  • The secretariat of ISIJ will inform the cancellation of the meeting by E-mail and on the website.
  • The organizer of the symposium will contact the presenter about the cancellation.
  • E-mails may not be delivered if the secretariat is damaged. We will post it in the "Urgent Information" on the top page of our website as much as possible.

 
2) Cancellation on the day before or during the meeting.

  • If the decision to cancel the meeting is made on a weekday, the secretariat will inform that by E-mail and on the website.
  • If the decision to cancel the meeting is made on a holiday, the secretariat will inform that by E-mail.
  • The organizer of the symposium will contact the presenter about the cancellation.
  • E-mails may not be delivered if the secretariat and the host school are damaged, or due to communication failure, or other irresistible reason. We will post it in the "Urgent Information" on the top page of our website as much as possible.

 
3) If the ISIJ meeting is canceled after the deadline of the abstract submission, the abstracts shall be deemed to have been presented at the meeting with the publication of "Current Advances in Materials and Processes: CAMP-ISIJ". In that case, "CAMP-ISIJ" will be sent to who have pre-ordered, and the registration fee will not be refunded. And if you are a speaker and have not made a pre-order for "CAMP-ISIJ", we will ask you to purchase it by the deadline.
 
4) If the banquet is cancelled, the participation fee will be refunded in full.
 
5) We will not bear any expenses such as travel expenses and accommodation cancellation fees due to the cancellation of the meeting.
